Carol McCaleb Obituary

Carol Sue McCaleb, age 79, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully at 5:30 am on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Majestic Care of Bloomington. She was born in Bloomington, IN on September 21, 1945, the daughter of Bunk Arthur & Mary (Denny) Criss. She worked as a manager for hotels in Arizona for several years. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening her flowers, working on cars and listening to country music. Carol is survived by her daughter, Leasa Sue Gerstorff; sons, Rodney Terrell and Danny Terrell; grandchildren, Richard Bull, Anthony (Melanie) Keene, Tiffany (Jeremey) LeMieux, Christopher Deigns, Denny Terrell, Haley Terrell, Bridgett (Austin) Ducker and Junior Terrell; several great grandchildren; brothers, Richard Arthur and Lloyd Arthur as well as her half brother, Punkin Criss.. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sidney McCaleb; daughter, Barbara Ann DePhew; brothers, Floyd Arthur and Charlie Arthur, half sister, Becky Criss and half brothers, Vernon Criss and Jim Criss. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project through the funeral home.
