Diana Townsend Obituary

Diana Sue Townsend, age 77, of Bloomfield, Indiana passed away Friday, May 9, 2025 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana. She was born in Hartford City, Indiana on August 23, 1947 to Vernon and Ruby (Reed) Townsend. Diana graduated from Indiana Business College and retired as the housekeeping supervisor for McCormicks Creek Health and Rehab Center. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. Diana is survived by her children, Travis Monroe ( Heather), Troy Monroe, and Amber Stogsdill (Matt); grandchildren, Taylor, Tinsley, and Savanna Monroe, and Zane Fraze; brother, Dennis Townsend (Denise), and brother-in-law, Dennis Pierce. She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Mariah Lane; and sister, Jayne Pierce. Funeral services will take place alongside her granddaughters at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana 47460. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm on Monday, May 19, 2025 and on Tuesday, May 20,2025 from 12:00 pm until time of the service at 2:00 pm. West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, Indiana have been entrusted with arrangements.
