Alfredo Ramirez Romero

Alfredo Ramirez Romero, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, in Tupelo, Mississippi, at the age of 70. Born on April 16, 1955, in the vibrant city of Guanajuato, Mexico, Alfredo's life was a testament to the enduring spirit of joy and camaraderie that he carried with him throughout his years. Alfredo was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jose Ramirez and Francisca Romero. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his devoted sister, Amelia Zuniga Concepaon, and his two brothers, Margaro Ramirez and Jose Ramirez. Alfredo's legacy will also live on through the many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were blessed to know his kind and humorous nature. Throughout his life, Alfredo worked diligently as a farmhand on various farms, where his hard work, dedication, and friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure among his colleagues and the wider community. Alfredo's interests were simple. He found great joy in being with his family and friends, sharing in the warmth of their company. His love for good music and movies was well-known, as was his passion for gathering around a good fire, where stories and laughter would abound. Alfredo never missed an opportunity to watch his favorite TV shows or to lift his voice in song, much to the delight of all who heard him. Described by those who knew him as funny, friendly, and interesting, Alfredo had the rare ability to light up a room with his humor and to make every individual feel seen and appreciated. Services to honor his life will be on Monday, August 10, 2025 at 4:30pm at the St. Frances Catholic Church in New Albany, MS. A visitation will be on Sunday, August 17, from 5:00pm – 9:00pm at United Funeral Service. United is honored to be entrusted with these arrangements.
