Annie Williams Obituary

Annie Ruth Vaughn Williams was a woman of unwavering faith, boundless love, and quiet strength. Born November 26, 1949, in Pontotoc County, Mississippi, to the late Tres Van Vaughn, Sr. and Ethelene Vaughn, she dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. Her servant's heart led her to Mt. Pleasant Chesterville before joining Inspirational Community Baptist Church, where she poured her passion into leadership as president of the Women Intermediate Auxiliary (GPBSC), culinary staff, and pastor's aid committee. She shared a lifetime of love with her devoted husband, the legendary Lee Williams. Together, they built a legacy of faith, music, and family, raising five children who were the center of her world. Annie Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lee Williams; grandson, Lequintray Williams; parents, Tres Van Vaughn, Sr. and Ethelene Vaughn; son-in-law, Adarius "Day" Traylor; siblings Nina Mae Vaughn, Viellar V. Banks, Mary A. Pullium, Annie Mae Jones, Effie Ray Vaughn, Robert Box, Eugene Vaughn, Sr., James Vaughn, and Tres Van Vaughn, Jr. Her legacy lives on through her children: Pamela Williams (Daryl), Orlando (Sac) Williams, Carilus (CC) Williams, Javon Williams (Shanetta), and Shanay Williams-Traylor; siblings Othela Vaughn, Ella Mae Vaughn, Rebecca Harris (Thomas), and James Vaughn (Susie); 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM at Life Changing Ministries, 94 South Thomas Street, Tupelo, MS.
