David Charles Eanes

David Charles Eanes, age 44 of Morris Chapel passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

David Eanes was born on January 5, 1981 in Washington D.C. to Charles and Onedia Eanes. He grew up in Northeast DC where he was baptized at Rhema Christian Center, attended LaSalle Elementary School, Rhema Christian Center Elementary, Berties Backus Middle School and graduated from Calvin Coolidge High School. David spent most of his life in the D.C. area before moving to his family's hometown Morris Chapel where he spent many meaningful years with his loved ones.

David was preceded in death by his father, Charles Eanes, and his brother, Marcus Gray.

He is survived by his mother, Onedia Gray Eanes; his brothers, Michael Eanes, Lennis Gray, and Gilbert Gray; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly

He was a warm, generous and patient man with a kind heart and a gentle, playful nature. David loved spending time with his family and friends, and he laughed easily. He was the kind of person you naturally gravitated toward in conversation – thoughtful, open and easy to talk to. He had a lifelong appreciation for movies and video games, with a sharp memory for his favorite lines and scenes. He found real joy in storytelling of all kinds, and his ability to connect through shared moments and humor will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
