Douglas Howard "Doug" Ballard

Douglas Howard "Doug" Ballard, age 76, of Detroit, AL, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 2:00pm at Landmark Church in Hamilton, AL with burial to follow in Pleasant Site Cemetery. Bro. B.J. Mills and Bro. Mark Collier to officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Doug was born on August 14, 1949 in Amory, MS to the late Fred Howard Ballard and the late Alene Edgeworth Ballard. He attended Byrd School and Hamilton High School. Doug was the proud owner/operator of Ballard Farms which he devoted his life to. He was very active in the community and in his profession and was a member of the ASCS Association and a previous member of the Cattleman's Association. Doug was a very kind and humble man who loved his family dearly. His loving memory will never be forgotten and always cherished.
