Glenda Jean Hunter Wilemon, 82, passed away from this life on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at her home in Aberdeen. Born on December 3, 1942, in Aberdeen, she was a daughter to Grady and Addie Rhea Roberts Hunter. After graduating Aberdeen High School in 1960 she began working as a secretary for Senter and Patterson Law Firm and later at Walker Manufacturing. On September 8, 1962, she married Dale Wilemon and engaged in the greatest work of all; that of being a homemaker, raising her two sons. She was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. In addition, she enjoyed being a part of the women’s Sunday school class and her many cherished friends. She often visited, by phone, her friends and cousins but, most of all, she enjoyed the time spent with her family at the cabin on the river.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Friendship Baptist Church in Aberdeen with Bro. Mike Bell, Bro. Bob Sexton, and Bro. Todd Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen has been entrusted with the arrangements.
