Larry Wayne Hamlin

Larry Wayne Hamlin, age 76, of Aliceville, Alabama died July 16, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Tom Kay, Jr. and Rev. Derrick Brite officiating. Burial will be in Franconia-Oak Grove Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th Street NW in Aliceville. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bobby Ray Hamlin; sisters, Barbara Faye Hamlin Noland Brantley and Katherine Kilpatrick; father-in-law, James A. Dunlap, Sr.; mother-in-law, Dorothy E. Hill and brothers-in-law, William Craig Dunlap and James A. "Jimmy" Dunlap, Jr. Survivors include his wife, of 47 years, Sharon Dunlap Hamlin; daughter, Anne Hamlin Hall (Thomas) of Birmingham; two sons, Andrew "Andy" Hamlin (Chelsey) of Aliceville and William "Will" Hamlin (Sara) of Tuscaloosa; two grandchildren, Andrew Hamlin III and Elizabeth Hamlin; sisters-in-law, Bonita Hamlin, Pat Wilson (Willie), Joyce Dunlap Thomas and Teresa Dunlap and a number of nieces and nephews. Larry was born November 16, 1948 in Greene County, Alabama to the late A. C. Hamlin and Frances E. Williams Hamlin. He attended First Presbyterian Church of Aliceville, was retired from the timber and fishery business and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.
