Mike Sparks

Mike "Sparky" Sparks, age 77, of Reform, AL died July 26, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will be in Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Dana Fazekas Sparks; daughters, Ashley Sparks and Jenny Fields; his parents and brother, Larry Sparks. Survivors include his daughter, Casey Wiginton and husband, Clark of Gordo; son-in-law, Alan Fields of Reform; sister, Betty Margaret Grier (Ed); six grandchildren, Maci Fields Reed (Skyler), Corey Porter, Peyton Lowe, Drew Porter, Reagan Fields and Davis Wiginton; nieces, Maggie, Tracie (Thomas); nephews, Ned, Brian (Susan) and great-nephew, Ben. Special thank you to his caregivers, Sandra Mayhew, Skeet Ford, Carol Fife, Betty Jean Hinton and Nickie Hammonds. Mike was born February 25, 1948 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Thomas Oneil "Pee Wee" Sparks and Penny Abrams Sparks. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and a retired salesman for Tuscaloosa Chevrolet. Honorary Pallbearers are Josh and Donnie Crowe, staff of Tuscaloosa Chevrolet, Pickens County High School Class of 1966, Butch Ousley, Bill Estes, George Fazekas, Eddy Gault and Karl Vail.
