Patty Chrestman Obituary

Patricia Gail (Patty) Chrestman, 80, entered her eternal home with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 3, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 14, 1945 in Smackover, Arkansas to Alvin and Odeel Chapman. She was a school teacher for several years and a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Hope Church where she had taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Services will be 2 PM Friday at Hope Church with Bro. Scooter Noland officiating. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12 – 2 at the church. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jim Chrestman of Saltillo; three children, Angie Sigl of Durham, NC, Steve Chrestman (Amy) of Athens, GA and Amy Smith (Josh) of Saltillo; one cousin, Kay Mitcham of Arkansas; her pride and joy, five grandchildren, Ella Smith, Reid Smith, Sophie Sigl, Austin Smith and Jules Chrestman. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers will be Jim Armstrong, Jim Spencer, Larry Easterling, Bubba Lollar and Rex Smith. Memorials may be made to the Sanctuary Hospice House. Patty was a close classmate of ours, Opelousas High School, Class of 1962. We are so sorry to hear of her passing. She was so sweet; may she Rest in Peace!
