Bernice June Farnsworth

BERNICE JUNE FARNSWORTH, 83, of the Buck Run Community in Pennsboro, WV, tragically lost her life alongside her husband on Sunday, June 2, 2024, as a result of a house fire.
She was born May 12, 1941 in Coxs Mills, WV a daughter of the late Bernard and Pearl (Posey) Ocheltree. For many years, Bernice worked as a legal assistant in Charleston, WV for the Spilman, Thomas, & Battle Law Firm and later the Tinney Law Firm. Once she moved to Ritchie County, WV, she worked for Trenton Energy of Ellenboro, WV. June graduated from Weston High School in Lewis County, WV and attended Glenville State College. While living in Pennsboro, she attended the Pennsboro Church of Christ and she loved quilting, knitting, gardening, and traveling.
She leaves behind her two children, William Mark Farnsworth (Rhonda) of Cass, WV and Patricia June Viola (James) of Timberville, VA; brothers, Charles Ocheltree of OH and Roy Ocheltree (Janie) of Elkins, WV, along with loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death alongside her husband, William Pat Farnsworth and her siblings, Doy Ocheltree, Doris Britton, Rita Mace, and Ray Ocheltree.
Funeral services for June and Pat will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the McCullough Rogers Funeral Home in Pennsboro, WV with Rev. Harry Drake officiating. Private family burial will take place in the Farnsworth Cemetery in Gilmer County, WV. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
