Cody was the first friend I made at Glenville. And I never will forget how he included everyone. I didn’t really have any friends when I moved to Glenville but him and the guild use to host games and they invited everyone to play. Cody was always a joy to be around. And he was always willing to help anyone with anything. He was a really good guy! I could not believe it when I heard of his passing. My prayers go out to his family, his friends, his girlfriend, and their daughter! I wish I could have been there in person today but I hope he RIP. Heaven truly gained an angel!

I met Cody at Glenville State and he was a fellow Scifi Guildie. He was always kind, and helped those in need. He passed doing what he loved and should be remembered a hero. His family should be proud of the man he was and I’m glad to of had the privilege to of known him. I pray they find comfort in these hard times. May God watch over his loved ones and give them comfort and care Sending love ❤

Cody was such a great person. He was very friendly and kind to everyone he met. I enjoyed having him in my forestry classes at Glenville State. I was so happy that he graduated and went to work for the DOF. Working for DOF was a great fit for him. WV has lost a dedicated forester and wildland fire fighter. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Cody found his niche when he joined the WV Division of Forestry. He quickly became part of the "brotherhood". I remember him as a student at Glenville State College and his desire to join the DOF. He truly loved his job and like so many of us with the DOF was dedicated to the mission. May he rest in peace.

Cody came into my store first as a customer, became a friend, then became family. I always enjoyed talking with him about anything and everything. He always had a smile and just enjoyed life. His presence always seemed to lighten the room and he will always be missed.

Cody worked his way into our hearts with each visit we made to GSC. It always brought us comfort to know that, although Mary was so far away from us, she had such a dependable and loving friend as Cody. We cannot begin to comprehend your pain and loss but know that we recognize what a sad and dreary world it will be without Cody in it. His bravery and sacrifice will serve as a reminder to us all of what love and devotion truly mean.
