I met Don when I was 12 years old and he and my brother Keith Hopkins were very good friends and then later Don and my other brother David Hopkins were great friends and owned a business together. He was like a son of my mother and father. I saw him often while growing up in St.Albans. He was always smiling and friendly. He will truly be missed.

I first met Don when I worked for Howell Heating and Plumbing in the 1960's. He was one of the customers and was always pleasant when talking with me. Many years later, I spoke with him long distance in the 1990's when he called the hospital about a patient; I recognized his voice at once and was so glad to talk with him. Lastly, I lived behind his son, Don, until recently when I relocated to NC. Don truly was an unforgettable person. Prayers to his family for comfort knowing he was someone that will be remembered always. I am sorry I cannot attend the service.
