Helen Schultz Obituary

Surrounded by her family and the music she loved, HELEN LOUISE LANHAM SCHULTZ, 88, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, after a brief illness.
Born in Marmet, WV, in 1937, Helen spent nearly her entire life in Kanawha County, raised in the Nazarene church, and surrounded by family. At FMC in the 1960s, building tanks, she was part of a federal suit to fight for equal pay for women. Union to the core, she even took her preschooler to union meetings and picket lines. Her last job was working at Union Carbide, from where she retired.
Helen loved traveling, spending countless summers around Myrtle Beach and traveling the U.S., to Cancun, and to London. Her other passions included food (from Ethiopian to fried bologna), reading, gardening, and bird-watching, often on her porch sanctuary. Even more, Helen deeply loved her family, often sharing stories of her childhood and family history. She expressed her love through sharing silly stories, heartfelt "I love you's," and praise for a job well done. She was one of a kind, whose absence can never be filled.
Helen was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Marguerette Easter Sutphin Beverage; father, James Lanham; second father, Clarence Clarke Beverage; sisters, Linda Myers and Carol Kuhn; son-in-law, Robert Revels; and beloved husband, Michael Schultz.
She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Revels, Heather Schultz Mealer, and Misty Lawrence; grandchildren, Joseph and wife Cayla Revels, Karen Lawrence, Danae Lawrence, Meaghan Lawrence, and Tre Revels; great-grandchildren, Jada Revels-Smith and Lily Revels; family friend, Bobby Johnson; and many other caring relatives, in-laws, and friends.
To honor her wishes, Helen was cremated and will have no Memorial service.
Lovingly known by all as "Mom" and "Grammy", whenever you see a pink rose, please be reminded of Helen's life, love, and legacy.
