Julia Crockett Obituary


JULIA "ELAINE" CROCKETT, 76, passed away on May 11, 2025.
Elaine grew up in South Charleston and graduated from South Charleston High School. After marrying the love of her life, Big Jim, she moved to St. Albans.
She loved nothing more than being with her family and her many many many friends, which she adored.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Crockett; son, Jim Crockett Jr.; and sister, Judith "Judy" Mynes Schultz.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica "Mimi" Crockett; sister, Virginia "Jani" Mynes Newhouse; grandchildren, Danelle Loy (David) and Josh Crockett (Kaylie); great-grandchildren, Ayden, Waylon, Lucas, and Owen. Elaine is also survived by her nieces, Sherry Westfall, Terry Westfall, and Lori Newhouse Cobb; nephew, Larry Newhouse; daughter-in-law, Michelle Crocket; and many other great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Elaine and Jim will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
