Luther Earl Wilkinson Jr.

LUTHER EARL WILKINSON JR., 82, of Farmersburg, IN, passed away on September 15, 2025, at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, IN.
Earl was born in Glasgow, WV, to Luther and Agnes Wilkinson on August 2, 1943. He had a 36-year career with the railroad, and during that time, he worked for New York Central, Penn Central, Conrail and North Folk Southern Railroads. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, cruises, singing in the church choir, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Earl Wilkinson Sr., his wife of 49 years Linda Mae Holcomb Wilkinson, his brother, David Wilkinson, and great granddaughter, Collette Bissonette.
He is survived by his mother, Agnes Hudnall, his brothers Bobby Hudnall, Joe Wilkinson, Gary Wilkinson, his sisters Judy Hudnall Cordle, Susie Hutchings, his sons Luther Earl Wilkinson III (Stacey), and Chris Wilkinson (Holly), six grandchildren, Hailey (Patrick), Ashley (Brian), Sydney, Eli, Dalton and Brylee, and 12 great grandchildren.
Services will be on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 1 p.m., at Cooke Funeral Home Chapel 600 Old Fort Street Cedar Grove, WV 25039 with Pastor Gordon Killion officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens Glasgow, WV 25086.
Visitation will be 1-hour prior to the services at the Funeral Home in Cedar Grove on Monday, September 22, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the CAMC Cancer Center, 3415 McCorkle Ave. SE, Charleston, WV 25304. Cooke Funeral Home, Cedar Grove is assisting the Wilkinson family.
