Marc Harpold Obituary
MARC "MARCUS" CHRISTOPHER HARPOLD 58, of South Charleston, WV went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 5, 2024, at WVU Medicine, Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
He was born in Charleston to Sarah Jane Harpold and the late William Ronald Harpold. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Harpold by one year and 3 days.
Marc was an employee for the Salvation Army with 20 years of service where he developed special friendships. He also worked and lived in St. Augustine, FL and was a former instructor at Nautilus in Charleston. He attended St. John's Episcopal Church in Charleston when he was younger. He was a graduate of Dunbar High School and Marshall University.
Leaving behind to cherish his memories are his mother, Sarah "Sue" Harpold; brothers, Micheal Harpold (Nancy) and Joel M. Harpold (Deborah); aunt, Lee Tsapatsaris. He was "Uncle Marc" to his many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the First Baptist Church, St. Albans with his brother, Pastor Joel M. Harpold officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Salvation Army, In Memory of Marc C. Harpold, 301 Tennessee Ave., Charleston, WV 25302 or Manna Meal, In Memory of Marc C. Harpold, 1105 Quarrier Street, Charleston, WV 25301.

My condolences to all his family! What a sweet sweet guy! He and my brother (Gary Phillips) had a lot of fun times together.. I guess he and Gary are having more fun times in Heaven.. RIP Marc, gone but never forgotten..

He was my best friend for life. I can remember our florida trip after graduation. Just the two of us driving down to Daytona beach. I miss him already.
