Nancy Saulsbery Obituary


NANCY ELIZABETH SAULSBERY, 85 of Marmet went Home to be with the Lord on December 29, 2024, after a long battle with Dementia.
Nancy was a member of The Marmet Community Church who loved God and her family. She used to love playing guitar and singing God's praises in church, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with and giving to her family as well as loving her many cats. Nancy retired after working for years at Ames, Hills Dept. Store and Gabriel Brothers.
She was preceded in death by her Husband: Bernard Saulsbery Sr., Father: Ocie Aliff, Mother: Hazel Taylor Aliff, (Biological Parents: Paul Dickens and Macie Aliff Tinney), Sisters: Ruby Kane Dalton, Macie Lou Parker, Irma Woody, Kathy Runion, Carolyn Tinney Jones and loving niece: Candis Kuhn Kane. Brothers: Edward "Ed" Aliff, James Aliff and Chuck Aliff.
Left to cherish her memory are her Children: Son: Bernard "Dinky" Ray Saulsbery, Jr, of California, Daughters: Nancy Ann Tincher of Charleston, Deborah Lynn (Rick) Turley of Pinch, Grandson: Chaddrick "CJ" Neal Trent of Charleston, Step-Grandsons:Daniel (Cassie) Turley and great grandsons Bryson and Ayden Turley of Pinch, and Richard Turley and great grandson Braeden Turley of Maryland. Sisters: Chris Browning, Jenna Aliff, Elaine Tinney, Brothers: Jimmy Aliff, Arnie Aliff, Terry Aliff, Richard Mann, Ralph (Bimbo) Aliff and Howard Tinney along with many Sister-in-laws, Brother-in-law and nieces.
The family would like to give a "Special Thanks" to her caregiver, Clara Huffman who provided such "Loving Care" for our Mom as well as Hospice for the care that they provided.
Per her wishes she was cremated, and a memorial service will be held Noon Saturday May 24, 2025, at Marmet Community Church 8803 MacCorkle Ave. Marmet, WV 25315 with Rev. Stanley Konkle officiating. Interment of Ashes will follow in White Cemetery at Bomont. Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family at leonardjohnsonfuneralhome.com.
