Sylvia Mace Obituary
SYLVIA HELEN MACE, 94, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 7, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah & Florence Adkins, and her husband C. Robert "Bob" Mace.
Sylvia was loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Sylvia attended Elk Valley Advent Christian Church. She enjoyed playing piano, teaching Sunday school, and enjoyed singing in an octette. She also liked quilting and exercising at the Sr. citizen center. Her favorite pastime was getting together with family and friends for picnics and cookouts. She always had a passion for taking care of family, cooking, and feeding people.
She is survived by her daughters, Belinda (Carl) Ritz, and Denese (Steve) Shinn; grandchildren, Emily (Chris) Freeman, Kyle (Nicole) Shinn and Kari (Anthony) Howell; and six great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
A service will begin, 1 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2026, at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Boyce officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.
Visitation will be from Noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
