Benjamin Clark Reed

Benjamin Clark Reed, 76, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. Born in Hinton, WV on July 8, 1949, he was the son of the late John W. and Evelyn Goff Reed. Benjamin retired from the US Postal Service. He served in the U.S. Navy where he received the National Defense Service Medal. He enjoyed photography and reading but especially loved spending time with his family and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Alice Faye Allen Reed and his brother, Steven W. Reed. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Donna Louise Reed; three children, Kimberly Hannah, Melanie Miklos (Justin), and Michael Reed (Han Young Ju); three stepchildren, Tiffany Coleman (Ricky), Misty Smith (Haley), and Nikkita Smith (Darren); three grandchildren, Chelsey, Nicholas, and Dakota; 8 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother-in-law and close friend, Bill Lilly; brother, John Roger Reed (Patty); sister, Linda S. Lane; and very special fur baby, Minnie. Several nieces, nephews, and close friends also survive. The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care provided by the Hospice of Southern West Virginia and the Va Home Based Primary Care. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Crews officiating. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Saturday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow with military honors at the Lilly-Crews cemetery in Nimitz, WV.
