Deborah Cassady Obituary

Deborah Sue Cassady, 71, of War, WV, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at her home following a long illness. Debbie was born on September 14, 1954 in War, WV to the late Dewey Oxford and the late Hazel Oxford Hampton. Debbie worked in the McDowell County School System for most of her life until she retired. After retirement, Debbie loved to do crafts especially diamond dots. In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by three sisters, Arizona Thomas, Beulah VanDyke and Geneva Murray and three brothers, Walter Oxford, Buddy Oxford and Bruce Oxford. Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, William "Floyd" Cassady, two sons, Willie (Crystal) Cassady and Marlin (Kim) Cassady; four grandchildren, Katelyn (Randy) Campbell, Kristopher (Savannah) Cassady, Jacob (Jamie) Lester and Hunter Cassady; one sister, Ginny (Hubert) Altizer and one brother, Spencer (Dorothy) Oxford. Honoring Debbie's wishes, she will be cremated and no services will be conducted. Fanning Funeral Home of Welch is serving the family.
