Kenneth Eugene Pence

GREENVILLE, WV – Kenneth Eugene Pence, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Country View Assisted Living in Peterstown, WV. Born May 4, 1932, in Sarton, WV, he was the son of the late Edgar and Hallie Pitzer Pence. Kenneth was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Ballard, WV, and formerly a member of the Green Belt Baptist Church in Maryland. He worked as a fabricator for airplanes. He loved woodworking and was very gifted in creating different types of furniture and kitchen cabinets. He was very generous with his time and was always willing to help people any way he could. His generosity extended to many organizations and churches as well. He will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Weikle Pence; five siblings; and stepchildren, David Mann, Rhonda Wickline, and Ricky Mann. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Emma Ruth Miller Mann Pence; stepchildren, Judy Hawks of Ballard, WV, and Steve Mann and wife Vicki of Greenville, WV; special nephew, Charles Pence and wife Janet of Lindside, WV, and their children, Jeff Pence and wife Felicia, and Karen Pence Mann and husband Chris; nephews, Randall Pence, Roger Pence and wife Wally, and Boyd Pence; nieces, Brenda Forren and husband Dallas, Joyce Harned, and Carolyn Nobles and husband Drew; several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and step great great grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends. A visitation will be held from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at the Mt. Alexander Church Cemetery in Sarton, WV, with Otuce Huffman, Jr. officiating.
