Brian Mahony Obituary

Brian J. Mahony, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the age of 62. Brian was born on September 18, 1962 in Floral Park, NY, he was the cherished son of the late James A. Mahony and the late Madeline Sullivan Mahony. Brian is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Heidi Mahony and their two beloved children, Steven (Erin) Mahony and Robert (Kelli) Mahony. He was a devoted grandfather to his grandsons, Chase and Owen, and a proud dog dad to his furry companion, Luna. He is also survived by his sisters, Regina (Ted) Goodman and Joanne (Steve) Betterly, as well as his brothers, Jim (Julie) Mahony and Kevin Mahony. For over 20 years, Brian served as a passionate paramedic, dedicating his life to helping others. His commitment to service extended beyond his career, as he was also a volunteer firefighter in New York. Brian enjoyed spending time with his family and Luna in his backyard oasis, coaching and watching baseball, and relaxing at the beach. He had a special gift for entertaining family and friends, always bringing laughter to every gathering. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, July 29, from 3 PM to 8 PM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, located at 2133 Ebenezer Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29732. An informal service will take place at 6 PM, and all are encouraged to share their wonderful memories of Brian during this time. Comfortable attire is encouraged to honor Brian's laid back spirit. Brian will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, whose kindness and dedication touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Brian's memory be made to the American Heart Association or to your local little league.
