Jeremy Duwane Hawkins

On the morning of June 10, 2025, Jeremy Duwane Hawkins surrendered his pain and ran into the arms of Jesus. Born on August 19, 1979, Jeremy was the beloved son of Bobbie Ferguson Burton (Tim) and Billy B. Sipe (Missy). He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred Ferguson Sr. and Sissy Cabe, and his paternal grandparents, Don and Betty Sipe, all of York County, SC. He was also preceded by his adopted father, Scotty Hawkins of Greer, SC. Jeremy is survived by his devoted mother, Bobbie, and his sisters, Billie Jean Laws and Jady K. Cook (A.J.). He will be lovingly remembered by his cherished aunt, Sheila Sipe Little, along with his uncles: Freddy Ferguson, Jr. (Pam), Doug Ferguson (Tonya), Thomas Ferguson, Norman Sipe (Judy), Steve Sipe (Kay), Donnie Sipe (Dorothy), and Toby Sipe; and his numerous cousins, and close friends. A man of many passions, Jeremy was a skilled sub-contractor for many years with CCDI, where he worked alongside his mentor and dear friend, Curtis Harris (Lynn). He had a deep love for nature and adventure. Whether he was hiking the Appalachian Trail, cave diving with friends, skateboarding, or participating in JROTC, Jeremy lived life fully and fearlessly.
