Lucille Riley Obituary

Lucille Fudge Riley, 92, of Chester, South Carolina, passed away on October 22, 2025. She was born on April 3, 1933, in Chester, SC, to the late William Frank Fudge and Margaret Orr. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Vergil Leo Riley; her son, Michael Riley; brothers, Harry O. Fudge, James T. Fudge, Fred M. Fudge, and Donald G. Fudge; and sisters, Agnes Bost and Jean Loflin. She is survived by her sons, Brad Riley, Ronald Riley, David Riley, and Kevyn Riley; daughter, Patricia Grondin; and sister, Sarah Bailey. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory. Lucille was a devoted member of Lando Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse, retiring after serving at Chester County Hospital, York General Hospital, and several nursing homes throughout the area. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Lando Cemetery, Eternal Road, Richburg, SC 29729. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lando Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in honor of Lucille Riley. Condolences may be shared online at greenefuneralhome.net.
