It is almost Halloween and that means that soon in Nov. It will 3 months since you left me. I go to call you and stop myself because you're not there to say good morning Robertson. I still hear you singing Mrs. O' Malley. I miss you so much.

I still miss you and still can't believe that you're gone. Life is so sad without you in it. I can't go to our place right now because it brings painful memories. I held you while you cried and calmed you when you were mad. The last time I saw you at the home I held you for the last time as you cried. I came to see you and could still see the great man that you are and were. I feel so sad without my dearest friend. God called you home and took all the pain away. I will see you again someday...Love T.M.S

I miss your smile and us hugging and you singing Mrs. O'Malley. I miss my dearest friend. I cried in private on Tuesday and just listen to some music and remember how you turned on 105.7 the X and couldn't figure out what was playing lol. Oh how I miss you. I go by your house and blow a kiss in the air. I have so many great memories of us and I will cherish them always. Mr. Robertson you were and always will be a great man

I met Charlie in 1974 at William Penn Senior High School. He was a Detective at that time in our Cafeteria keeping everybody safe as a monitor. When I ran for Student Council President and won for the next year he then Called me Mr. Prez every tine I saw him. We had lots of talks and the man loved the people of the city . He Loved York! He was the kindness man I knew and did anything for anyone. He came to all my Wrestling matches. He wanted me to play baseball but I was a runt yet. Later in life I saw him in a patrol car and I chased him down. When he saw us I had a newborn baby in 1980. The smile on his face and the joy of holding that baby in his arms was awesome! When he was Mayor he said about bringing Baseball to york and he did. In the 90's he brought Nascar to York. I was a Photographer then on the internet for a Dirt Racing Site and have many good times and Photos of us with him at that event. RIP my Friend, My Family Debbie and Daughter Samantha Love you ! and we are going to miss you..

Remembering Charlie as a fellow officer on the York City PD and a very good friend of my dad, Al Raimer. So many times he visited us on Prospect Street while we were growing up. He was so very kind to us all. We are glad he was in our Dad's life.
Sincerely, Al Raimer's family

Remembering the mornings of coffee at Norm's and Charlie would show up, he greeted everyone with that warm and loving smile.
He was a great soul with so much compassion for anyone that crossed his path and there are many who can attest to that.
You will be missed Mayor
RIP Charlie

I never personally met Mr. Robertson. However, he must have been a fine man by all accounts, according to those who knew him and speak so highly of him. I can attest that if he is any reflection of what his son Chhayrong (Alex) has become as a man, then Mr. Robertson was a great man. Rest in peace, Sir; and, my prayers go out to Alex Chhum and his family.

Thanks for the memories, Charlie, and rest assuredly in peace. You ran a good race, hard-fought at times, but good. You meant so much to many and helped a lot of teens stay on the good side of the line. When reporting a foul at a Wm. Penn-York High basketball game, I always enjoyed your presence 2 rows behind the scorekeepers. Thanks for playing a part in my life!

Charlie , He touched our lives in a profound way . Growing up next to a Police Officer , you were aware of right from wrong ,not to do drugs , be kind to others , no matter who or what you were . Charlie came to my parents aid more than once . I remember the dinners that we all had together (Easter , Thanksgiving , Christmas ) , Charlie would work a shift so that a fellow Officer could spend time with his family . We then plan dinner around him. And birthdays were really special , because my birthday was the day before his . My parents celebrated his birthday& mine together. He would tell us stories about what happened at work. We talked , but mostly listened to him & his neat stories . You could tell why he had so many friends . This man gave me my first car , so maybe I am bias . But anyone that really knew Charlie knows that I am not . A funny story comes to mind . My grandmother called a cop , my mother right away corrected her telling her he is not a cop , but a Police Officer . Charlie took it in stride and said that Cop stands for Constable on patrol . What A Person !!One cannot say enough about him . Who else can say that they went from being a custodian to being a Mayor of a big city ( York ) in a life time . Yes he had some set backs , but God was on his side & help him make the right choices . I think that is what made him a kind person . He is really going to be missed by this person , and my family . May God Bless you Charlie , we loved you . John & Joanne Blokzeyl , & Family
