Edward Gillum Obituary

MANCHESTER Edward L. Gillum, 66, died at 2 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007, at his residence. Born June 30, 1940, in Quantico, Va., a son of the late Gerald and Sarah (Jenkins) Gillum, he retired from Lucent Technologies in Baltimore, Md. Mr. Gillum is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Stackpole) Gillum of Manchester; a son, Rodney A. Gillum and his wife, Susan of Pasadena, Md.; a daughter, Christina F. Herschitz of Slatington, Pa.; five grandchildren, Barbara Herschitz, Brandon Herschitz, Austin Andrae, Kayla Knode, and Ashleigh Gillum; a brother, Fred Gillum of New Jersey; and a sister, Joanne Gardner of Fredericksburg, Va. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Round Hill Presbyterian Church, 7362 Church Road, Cross Roads, with the Rev. Donald R. Zobler officiating. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery. William E. Little Funeral Homes, 60 S. Main St., Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
