Elaine Blank Obituary

LAS VEGAS, NV Elaine Sevel Blank, 87, formerly of York, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011. She was the wife of the late Daniel Blank. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Prospect Hill Cemetery with full military rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends will meet at the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance of the cemetery at 2:15 p.m. Friday. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born August 25, 1923 in York, a daughter of the late Ben and Rachel Sevel, she graduated from York High and Marjorie Webster College in D.C. Mrs. Blank was a US Marine Corps veteran of WWII. She was a former long time member of Temple Beth Israel. Elaine loved traveling the world, playing mahjong with her friends, enjoying the company of her cats, and entertaining for family and friends. She was always optimistic and had a smile for everyone. She is survived by her children, Linda and Stephen Blank; three grandchildren, Aaron, Jared, and Brian; and her sister, Selma Rende.
