Tonya And Family

I have been working at the York Hospital for 2 years and I have came across Jacqua a few times on the pediatric floor she was well known by everyone on the floor. Her and I had held conversations about what she wanted to do after school and she brought up being a nurse and a singer and I told her to just go for both why stop at one. She was the strongest person I have ever come across with as many problems as she had, she never let anything or anyone come in her way. It makes me happy to have known her and see what the whole asthma thing was about geing that I was told my son has asthma and when he gets older and tries to give up I'm going to tell him about a strong woman name Jacqua who never gave up.My prayers are with yous.

God Bless and be Strong

Dear Larry Family,

So sorry for your loss... Know that she is in a better place... No more doctor and hospitals and meds and oxygen etc.God apparently needed another song bird and I never heard her sing but I understand the sista could chirp(smiling)Remember the 18 good years God blessed her to be here, and her singing and God will be your comforter. It's not easy, but knowing God is there to help you through is a blessing. All my love goes out to your family.

To Jacqua's Family,

Jacqua was a wonderful young lady that we were all blessed to have known. I often picture her sitting on a porch across from the Pershing Ave. doors of the school. Many evenings when I had worked at the high school she and I would talk there. I met Jacqua in middle school. When I heard of Jacqua's leaving this world for one in glory I pictured her smiling, singing, dancing and clapping her hands in the Lord's Heavenly Choir! May the promise of our Lord comfort and keep you.

Dear Tonya and family,

My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family members. Jacqua's passing is a sad moment in my life, personally and professionally; but knowing her will be one of the greastest privileges I will ever have. I have learned so much about myself, about medicine and about life by helping to take care of her over the last year and a half. I will never forget the love she gave so unconditionally. I will never forget her humor, and, of course, her lovely smile which was contagious all on its own. Though her life here with us was brief, she has touched so many hearts that her love and spirit will live with us forever.

Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

With fond memories,

Ms. Tonya & Family:

I met your daughter during her early years at Friendship Baptist Church. We would often call on Jacqua to say the prayer at Vacation Bible School and she always did a marvelous job, Jacqua knew how to pray!! After praying the prayer she would often end with a touch of humor and say, "Thank you God for the Macaroni and Cheese and the Collard Greens too, AMEN!"

Tonya... you raised a beautiful daughter who has left a legacy and impact on many people far and wide! Her physical presence will be missed but her spirit and energy will continue to shine.

During this time look to Jesus! Jesus is not only our great example in perseverance. He is also “the founder and perfecter of our faith. As your daughter spirit has impacted many people, Jesus’ spirit will strengthen you. Stay Blessed and Prayerful!

God Bless You!
