James D. "Dan" Wilhide, 54, died Saturday, July 23, 2016 at his residence. He was the husband of Michelle Lee (Harman) Wilhide, his wife of 28 years.
Dan was born January 1, 1962, in York, the son of Shirley Ann (Miller) Wilhide of Abbottstown and the late John Merle Wilhide.
Dan was a graduate of Spring Grove H.S., Class of 1979, and employed with Abbottstown Industries for over 30 years as a tool and die maker. Dan will be remembered as a loving husband and father, and for being a wonderful family man who loved to hunt and fish with his family.
In addition to his wife Michelle and his mother Shirley, Dan is survived by two sons, Austin James Wilhide and Blake Daniel Wilhide, both of Thomasville; two brothers, John Darryl Wilhide of Abbottstown and Michael Joel Wilhide of West York. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Merle and Thelma Wilhide.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be private. The Feiser Funeral Home, Inc., 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, is in charge of the arrangements. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
