Kenneth E. Bare, Jr., 63, formerly of Glen Rock, died Tuesday April 11, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Mary M. (Wright) Bare, with whom he would have celebrated 44 years of marriage with on April 21st.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, with Fred C. Nowell officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church Cemetery, Glen Rock. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bare was born on July 20, 1953 in Jefferson, and was the son of Ruth L. (Haynes) Bare of York, and the late Kenneth E. Bare, Sr.
Ken was a truck driver for Wal-Mart, FL for 15 years where he drove 1,422,374.00 miles accident free and prior to that he drove 14 years accident free for Air Products in both PA and FL and he worked as a mason contractor for both himself and his uncle's business, Fred Bare Contractor.
He was a member of Church of Christ, Deland, enjoyed classic cars, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Mary, and mother, Ruth, he leaves a daughter Shauna A. Herman and her husband, Joseph of Glen Rock; and a son, Kenneth E. Bare III and his wife, Stacy of Deland, FL; four grandchildren, Andrew Herman, Alesha Herman, Chandler Bare, and Jackson Bare; and three sisters, Sheron L. Smith of Hanover, Sheila Stiles of York, and Cinda R. Clemente of Suisun City, CA.
