Michael J. Ruppert

DOVER Michael J. Ruppert, 62, died at 8:51 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at his home. He was the loving husband of Donna L. (Hoerner) Ruppert. The couple celebrated 38 years of marriage on April 14, 2011. Born July 17, 1949, in Dover, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Velma E. (Day) Ruppert. Michael was a 1967 graduate of Dover High School. He worked as a machinist for Allis-Chalmers and later, was a truck driver for Kottcamp Sheet Metal in York. Michael was a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791, York County Racing Club, and York County Corvette Club. He enjoyed attending public sales and auctions and was an avid radio and clock collector. In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by two daughters, Ami L. Sauders and husband, Michael and Amber R. Losing and husband, Shawn, all of Dover; two grandchildren, Brinly and Blake Losing; and his mother-in-law, Doris Hoerner of Dover. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Michael's funeral at 4 p.m. and the viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Christ U.C.C. in Jefferson. Following cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family.
