Philip Drayden, Sr.
York
Philip W. Drayden, Sr. entered into the presence of God on January 10, 2016, at the York Hospital. He was the husband of Brenda A. (Rhoades) Drayden.
Born on January 31, 1955, in York, he was the son of the late Ruth A. (Stephens) and Cyrus Drayden.
He graduated from William Penn Sr. High School Class of 1972 and was a Photo Journalist for WGAL TV for twenty-six years.
Philip leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Brenda; children, Kenyon M. Drayden, Philip W. Drayden, Jr.; seven grandchildren, Robert Lambert, Chemin Lambert, Carlyse Taylor, Onazji, Kenyla, Bashir Drayden, Keliyah Drayden-Sellers; a great-grandchild, London Lambert; siblings, Tonya Drayden, Sheree Tirado, Trinia Banks, Renee Banks, Pam Banks, Tim Banks, Jamie Banks, Pernell Banks, Carlos Banks, Maurice Drayden; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly L. Drayden; siblings, Sheila Drayden, Lorraine Drayden, Cyrus Drayden, Jr., and Gregory Drayden.
Celebration of Life Services are on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Faith United Church of Christ, 509 Pacific Ave., York, PA. Pastor Oscar Rossum will be officiating.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St., York, PA 17403 to help defray costs.

I knew Phil as the cameraman who shared the Downtown streets with me when we worked in nearby offices. I also knew
him as one of the most gregarious guys and most warmhearted individuals. We shared happy thoughts and not so happy ones. Can only imagine how wonderful it was to have him as a family member. My deepest sympathies to you all.
