Robert E. Baublitz

DOVER Robert E. Baublitz, 84, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Memorial Hospital. He was the companion of the late Rodman E. Boeckel with whom he shared 50 years. A Graveside Service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Prospect Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Skip Nizinski of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church officiating. A funeral cortege will form at the Pennsylvania Ave enterance of the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born March 17, 1930 in York, he was a son of the late Harry S. and Barbara M. (Adelman) Baublitz. He was a 1948 graduate of York High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed as an administrative assistant with R. S. Noonan, Inc., for 35 years and later with Prospect Hill Cemetery. Mr. Baublitz is survived by his nieces and nephews, Shirley Poff and husband, Ronald, Carol Altland and husband, Frank, Jerry Eckenrode and wife, Julie, Jeffrey Falkler and wife, Cathy, William Duke and Barry Duke and wife, Karen.
