Robert Wilson Obituary

DELTA Robert L. Wilson, 77, died on Monday, September 28, 2009, at the Forest Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center in Maryland. Born on October 26, 1931, in the Slate Hill area of Delta, he was a son of the late John B. and Lillian (Thompson) Wilson. A lifetime resident of Delta, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and recipient of a Bronze Star. Mr. Wilson was a member of the John S. Murphy Post #7130 VFW in Delta and the American Legion Post #182 in Whiteford, Md. He is survived by two sons, David J. Wilson of Wrightsville and Michael S. Wilson of Delta. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Sue Wilson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday. Interment will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Delta, with military honors presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
