Ada was a family friend as well as one of my teachers at William Penn. I only had to walk down the alley way to school as I lived at 1390 W.King St.I too wish there were more dedicated teachers like Ada.

Dear Family:
I think that she was my 4th grade
teacher.
She was also my son's 3th or 4th grade teacher.
She was a great teacher and a nice
person and gave much of herself.
I also lived for a few year when married to my first husband at the
house on the corner of 1341 W Poplar St thus I saw her at times
going in to teach when I was in my
20's and my son went to William Penn Grade School.
I wanted you to know that her students loved her and wish their
where teachers like her today.
I left York in 1960 and still have
good memories of my childhood.
