Steven D. Herman

Steven D. Herman, 46, entered into rest on Saturday morning, May 13, 2006, at Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Lisa (Howard) Herman. Steven was born February 1, 1960, in Nuremberg, Germany, the son of Ronald G. and L. Hilda (Panzer) Herman. He was self-employed as S. Herman General Contracting. Steven was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and a former member of the Boy Scouts Troop #43. He played football for the boys club; was an avid hunter; and was active in karate, where he received his green belt. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by four children, Joseph Darrah, Brittany Herman, Zachary Herman, and Steven Herman, Jr., all of York; three siblings, Rev. Betty Russell of York, Dr. Barry E. Herman of Easton, and Karen K. Hess of York; nieces and nephews; and uncles and aunts. A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m., at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St., York. The Rev. Charles T. Davis will officiate. The burial will be private.
