Thomas F. Alwine, 70, entered into rest Sunday January 7, 2018 at his home.
A celebration of life visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. January 12, 2018 at Still Meadow Church of the Nazarene, 350 Chestnut St., York. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., West York, is assisting with the arrangements.
Mr. Alwine was born October 19, 1947 in York, a son of the late Thomas F. and Ellen Sarah (Hamberger) Alwine. He was a 1965 graduate of William Penn Senior High School and was part of the swim team for all four years. He was employed as a Courier. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was an avid PSU Football Fan. Thomas is survived by his daughters, Tonia Alwine, Bobbi Alwine, Valerie Alwine, and Marissa Throckmorton; grandchildren, Eric Miller, Aidan Reyes, Michael Boccia, Mykeira Alwine, James Carter, Jr., Kahley Lopez, Addison and Harper Throckmorton.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to be made in honor of Thomas F. Alwine to the Stillmeadow Church located at 350 Chestnut St York, PA 17403 or to John W. Keffer Funeral Home, 2114 W. Market St., York, PA 17404 to help defray expenses.

Grew up across the street from Tom & we played hundreds of "wiffle ball" games in his back yard as kids. We stayed in touch over the years & he was a good buddy. I'll miss him !

I was a classmate of Tom's at York High.He was a good guy very friendly and outgoing.My sympathy to the family. I am glad I had a chance to know him in this life.

My condolences to Tom's family. We graduated together in 1965 and were good friends. He recently attended a breakfast gathering we had, so I'm glad I got to see him then. I am shocked to learn of this and very saddened. RIP Buddy
