Jacquelyn Adams Obituary
Walton County, GA - Jacquelyn "Jackie" A. Adams, 82, of Walton County, GA passed away unexpectedly on August 29, 2018. She was born on May 17, 1936 in York, PA to the late Della (Huzzard) Sweitzer and William Sayers.
Jackie and her husband, Ludlow Adams, resided in Peachtree City, GA from 1979 until 2016. They then retired to Walton County, GA. Jackie and her husband were long time members of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City, GA. Jackie's heart and memories of friends in Peachtree City never faded.
Jackie was a loving mother and wife to her children and her husband. She served as a staff member at the American Embassy in Nassau, Bahamas from 1987 to 1990. Upon returning to Peachtree City in 1990, she joined the lunchroom staffs of many elementary and middle schools in Peachtree City for several years.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, James Sweitzer; her daughter, Cynthia Rene Adams and her sister, Delores Frey (Ernest) of Dover, PA. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Levalley of York; brothers, Scott Sweitzer and Charles R. Sweitzer both of York; daughters, Cheryl (Phillip) Cruce and Leslie Ann (Greg) Smith; son, Jeffrey Adams; grandchildren, Yvette Rachele Wolfrom, Rhett Nowell III (Breanna), Caroline, Lucy, and Jack Smith; and great-grandchildren, Rhett Nowell IV, Colby Andrew, Zackary William, and Ella Grace Wolfrom.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market Street, York. A viewing will be held Saturday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery adjacent to her grandfather, Charles Seigel Huzzard, who was laid to rest in 1951.
