Ruby Abel Obituary
Wrightsville, PA - Ruby E. Abel, 92 of Wrightsville, PA died at Hospice and Community Care of Mount Joy on January 26, 2021. She was the wife of the late Charles D. Abel who died in 2006.
Born April 26, 1928 in Columbia, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Grace (Poff) Hilt.
Ruby was employed as a cafeteria worker for Eastern York School District for many years. She was a member of Wrightsville Hope United Methodist Church, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Wrightsville Fire Company, an Auxiliary member of Abel-Poff-Leithiser American Legion Post of Wrightsville and was a very active member and president of the Eastern York Senior Center.
Ruby is survived by a daughter, Sandra "Sandy" Urey and her husband Leonard of Wrightsville, PA, a brother, Carl Hilt of Wrightsville, a son-in-law, Glenn Hileman of York, PA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara J. Hileman.
Following cremation, private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
