William Joines Obituary

William R. Joines

York - William Ray Joines, 83, entered into his eternal rest Wednesday January 27, 2021 at Autumn House West. He was the husband of the late Beulah E.(Christenberry) Joines.

William was born September 12, 1937 in White Hall, MD, a son of the late John Robert Joines Sr and Ruth Vannoy Joines Wood.

He was a member of Bible Baptist Church York PA. He was employed as a machinist at Lyon Metals, Cole Steel, and Flinchbaugh Manufacturing until his retirement in 2002.

He loved the Orioles, playing cards, and shooting pool.

William is survived by his son Allen R. Joines and his wife Diane; step-children Lee Weatherbee and his wife Kelly, Joyce Flinchbaugh and her husband Robert, Marsha Moreschi and her husband Jack, Beverly Weatherbee; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a step-brother Wayne Wood; a half-brother John (Bobby) Joines, Jr., and half-sisters Linda Lee Secor and Dora Lynn Seiple.

He was preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Delia. Step-daughter Jackie Carruthers and step-son Joseph Weatherbee.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grane Hospice of York, PA

A visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Saturday at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave. The graveside service will begin at 10:30 a.m. in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with Mr. Joines son Pastor Allen Joines officiating.
