Eugene "Bon" Thomas Jr.

1956 - 2022

Eugene "Bon" Thomas, Jr., an Okmulgee resident, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Tulsa at sixty-six years of age. He was born January 16, 1956 in Claremore to the late Eugene Thomas, Sr. and Mattie (Lasley) Thomas. Bon was a handyman and worked for Muscogee (Creek) Nation for many years as an inspector for the Housing Authority. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching OU and Dallas Cowboys play football, playing pool and most of all spending time with his family. Preceding Bon in death were his parents, brother, John Al Thomas, sister, Liz Thomas, grandson, James Stutchman and a nephew, John Manley. Survivors include his daughters, Annie Thomas and son-in-law, Bill McDowell and Teresa Allen, grandchildren, Tiarra Barnes, Ken Dan Thomas, Winter Brown, Jaclynn Brown and Bilazer McDowell, great grandchild, London Stick, brother, Gilbert Thomas, sister, Cindy Thomas-Roberson, special nieces and nephew, Naomi Mitchell, Chennia Phillips and Wolfe Phillips and numerous other nieces, nephews and relatives.

A wake service will begin 7:00 P.M. Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Weogufkee Indian Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Weogufkee Indian Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery.
