Thomas Roberts Obituary

Thomas Lee Roberts, "FELL ASLEEP IN DEATH," on March 23, 2022. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Lizzie and Thompson Roberts; his grandson Reuben Roberts; his great grandson Devon Roberts; his sister Mary Elizabeth Taylor; and his brother Edward Gene Roberts.
Thomas had five children, LaDonna Watashe of Oklahoma City, Tony Lee Roberts of Cromwell, Elizabeth Ann Roberts of Norwalk, Calif., Melissa Roberts of Anadarko, and Thomasine Roberts of Oklahoma City. He also had 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Thomas attended and graduated from Preston High School in Preston. He moved to California in 1965, where he attended California State University of Long Beach. He retired from Robertshaw Control after 40+ years.
In 2018, Thomas returned to Oklahoma to make his residence in Oklahoma City. Thomas was very active in sports, mainly softball, basketball, volleyball, and golf. After 26 years of playing softball with his team, "Nations," they received a first-place trophy in Bell Garden, California. Thomas always enjoyed his family and would travel every year to the family reunion in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
Those left to cherish the memories of Thomas Lee include his family, brother Jerry Roberts of Preston, Oklahoma, sister Brenda Long of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and a host of relatives.
** A funny memory of Thomas that a lot of people knew, was his favorite quote, "GOD DAMN IT ........"
