THOMAS LOEHR Obituary

THOMAS LOEHR Thomas Michael Loehr, born December 23, 1944, in Wooster, Ohio, son Of Jacob Charles Loehr and Eileen Jeanette Shank Loehr He married Deborah Swords who resides in Canada after their separation. They adopted two children, Jacob and Mara, who both have preceded him in death. His brother Gary Dean Loehr also preceded him in death in 1975. Tom is survived by brother Timothy Charles Loehr of San Antonio; sister Susan Shelly Loehr of Kingston, N.Y. and her two children, Johnathan Jeremy and Angie Loehr; sister Margaret "Maggie" Jean Loehr Petito of Bethesda, Md., and her two children, John Christian Robert Petito of Doylestown, Pa., and David Nelson Petito of Belfast, Maine. Tom, after graduating high school, served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War aboard a ship devoted to the support of sea planes off the coast of Guam. After his military service Tom was trained in the oil and gas industry associated with drilling technology as it relates to drilling mud and chemicals applications. Tom, after retirement, was devoted to his church in Huckabay, Texas, where he grew his faith and developed his relationships with his Christian brothers and sisters as well as the community. Tom passed away on May 7, 2025, under doctor's care and comfort in Weatherford, Texas. The Huckabay Baptist Church at 398 County Road 420, Stephenville, TX 76401, will be hosting a lunch after Sunday church service which begins at 11 a.m. June 1, 2025. At the conclusion of lunch and the celebration of life comments by those closest to him, his ashes will be spread under the beautiful oak trees of the church property.
