Barry Burkhardt Obituary
1959 - 2024
Barry went to be with his Lord on July 8, 2024. He was born in California on August 6, 1959 and lived in the city of Burbank until he became a resident of Yuma, Arizona in 1999.
He worked for almost 10 years at the Yuma Proving Grounds and in addition, he was his parents ' primary caregiver during their later years.
While living in California, Barry owned a flower business for a period of time and loved to design both fresh and silk arrangements for most any occasion. He especially enjoyed creating arrangements for weddings.
Barry had many talents and loved playing drums for the church worship team at his home church in California and again at First Assembly of God when he lived in Yuma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis F. Burkhardt and Bonnie L. Burkhardt and a brother, Denis Pritchett. He leaves behind his loving wife, Nilda; two sisters, a brother-in-law, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and an aunt.
Cremation will be at the Yuma Mortuary and Crematory.
A family memorial service is to be scheduled at a future date.

Dear Barry Bear. Oh how I miss our chats and laughter online. The years fly by and I can´t believe it is one year since you went to heaven. Oh my dear friend Barry - the laughs we shared over so many years online. Our love of flowers, your arrangements and my photography. I know you are with your beloved God but I do wish you had warned me. I am heartbroken and already miss you more than words can say. I am so pleased you had your dear wife Nilda to share your life. You were the sweetest man and I thank the Lord for bringing you into my life. To days "see ya soon buddy". We spent our friendship half a world away from each other.
