David Calik Obituary

David Peter Calik passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015. He was born February 6, 1931 in Hillside, NJ and has been a resident of Yuma for the past 50 years. Pete was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He worked at Yuma Proving Ground for over 30 years as a Project Engineer. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #476 for 45 years. He will be remembered for his love of the beach, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

Pete is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Laura Nelson and Susan Eggman; son, David Peter Calik, Jr.; 4 grandchildren, Nickolas Eggman, Brittney Eggman, Erica Hede, and Jonathan McNally; 1 great grandchild, MacKenna McNally; and a sister-in-law, Mary Westendorf.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Yuma and the staff at Yuma Regional Medical Center for their compassion and excellent care.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at The Elks Lodge, 1917 W. 32nd Street, Yuma, AZ.
