Donald Smith Obituary

Donald O. Smith, 66, died on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. He was born February 21, 2011 1944 in Aurora, Illinois to Oscar and Ella Smith.

Donald served and retired from the USMC after 23 years as a Master Sargent. He then went to work for YPG and retired after 21 years as the Accountable Property Officer. Don was a good friend to many. He had a great sense of humor and loved a good prank...on others as well as on himself. He was a loving husband and father. He loved football, golf, and the DBacks. Traveling was also a passion of his.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta of Yuma; son, Timothy Smith of Mesa; step son, Riley Junk of Susanville, CA. He is also survived by his very special granddaughter, Sydney Junk who will miss her "PaPa" and his swimming lessons. He also leaves his beloved pets, Sierra and Sedona. At Donald's request no services will be held.

He is in a better place with no pain! I thank God for the time I had with him and his talks. I will always remember him for his relaxed laid back outlook on life. He was always a wonderful person to talk, be with, and to hear from. God Bless Robbie! I love You!
