Hermina Evaro Obituary

Hermina "Minnie" (Ochoa) Evaro peacefully met Jesus face to face on the Fourth of July, 2012. A true testament to how her family knows she and her Lord are celebrating now. Born in Yuma, Ariz., on May 17, 1926, to Pasquala and Ralph Ochoa, Minnie was one of 12 children in the Ochoa family. She grew up in Yuma, where she met the love of her life, Henry Bazurto Evaro. They were married on Nov. 11, 1945, and spent 55 years loving each other and building their own legacy of 12 children, 28 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Henry (Hank) Jr. Evaro and one grandson, Donnie Navarro. Minnie was known to love the Lord with all her heart, soul and mind, and she spent all of her 86 years mirroring that love to her family as well as to the world around her. Her greatest joy was unmistakable. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her love for her children was seen through acts of selflessness, as well as in the generosity in sharing her heart. The treasures our beautiful mother has given to us will be permanent personality traits in each of us, and we can only pray that we will carry on her legacy of love with half the effectiveness as she did. "Our loss is painful, but our rejoicing is confident."
"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39).
The family invites you to join in a celebration of Minnie's life at 10 AM. July 28, 2012 at Calvary Chapel of Yuma, 2404 E. 24th Street, Yuma, AZ.

Minnie was a true humanitarian. She was nonjudgemental about everything. She fed homeless and hungry people seeking shelter. She loved kids and they loved her. She helped new moms by translating for nurses in home care. She was strong in character and faith, and I learned a lot from her over the years. One of her dreams was to learn to ice skate. I'm sure Minnie is skating circles around all of us from heavens pearly gates. We will always love you Miss Minnie.

The Light of Hope...

Minnie - My Mom, had strength that could only come from above. She had won battles against 2 different types of cancer, she had won the challenge against diabetes. She lived a very clean life, did not drink, in fact she would break out in a rash if she drank alcohol. Never smoked, and was first to help anyone that she saw was in need of help/ or just needed a healing hand, voice or ear. Minnie my mom the STRENGTH, LOVE, HOPE, FORGIVENESS and POWER of our family...
