LLOYD HARDING Obituary
Lloyd was born on August 30, 1929 in San Dimas, CA. and later married Virgene Vandehey in 1947. After graduating from Mesa High School, Lloyd signed with the Brooklyn Dodgers as a pitcher. His career was short-lived by an arm injury. He farmed cotton and citrus and retired after 22 years with the Yuma Irrigation and Drainage District.
He was preceded in death by his wife for 58 yrs. Virgene Harding and a daughter Sheryl Platt. Lloyd is survived by his two sons Robert Harding of El Centro, CA; Gerald Harding of Yuma, AZ; his daughter Janet Gephart of Smock, PA; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Saturday September 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Johnson Mortuary, Yuma, AZ.

On behalf of the class of 1947 Covina Union High School we are saddened to learn of Lloyd's passing. Many of us had known LLoyd all of our lives growing up in Covina. He was best known for his athletic ability and his shy and infecious smile. Lloyd was a quiet guy but was always up for a good time. RIP in peace, bro.

My family & I, Millie (Vandehey) Petersen, Lloyd's sister-in-law, are saddened to learn of Lloyd Harding's passing away. ( Lloyd was married to Virgene, my sister, who passed away Nov. 29, 2005)
I recently sent him a birthday card for his 87th birthday, on August 30. Not hearing from him and telephone calls not answered, mutual friends, Creta & Dino Paul & I went to Internet, Google & found confirmation of Lloyd's death.
The Pauls & our family send thoughts, words & prayers of sorrow to Robert, Janet & Jerry, Lloyd & Virgene's living children, and each of their families, in the passing away of their dad, grandpa & great-grandpa.
We pray Our Lord's comfort and blessings will be upon all of Lloyd's family.
