Neal Johnson Obituary

Neal Robert Johnson

June 11, 1960 - August 1, 2025

Neal Robert Johnson was born in Chickasaw, OK, on June 11, 1960 and passed away on August 1, 2025 at the age of 65.

Neal was the son of the late Donald and Constance "Connie" Johnson; brother of Donna Possehn (Dennis), Linda Johnson, Nancy White (Clark), Glen Johnson, and the late Susan Senini (late Mark).

He graduated from Kofa High School in 1978 and later owned BeBop Records with two others. He loved working there and helping customers discover new music. People remember him as a great influencer of musical taste, introducing them to new and interesting artists they otherwise would not have discovered. Later he worked at the Yuma Daily Sun (Yuma Sun) as a mailroom associate.

Neal loved sports, especially baseball and basketball, was an avid supporter of all New England and Arizona teams.

He enjoyed family gatherings, especially playing games, and made life long friends with his co-workers at the Yuma Sun, talking about them constantly.

Although often quiet he had a wicked sense of humor and was liked by all who knew him. He will be sorely missed.
